Leave it Alone

DAY TEN

There are things in all of our lives we just need to let well enough alone. We don’t give our scrapes, bruises, or wounds time to heal. We keep checking on it in our minds, pick at the scare tissue in conversation or invite others to share the pain at our private pity parties.

Faith often requires us to leave some things alone. We can entrust the issues and injuries to God, even the self-inflicted wounds. Keep your hands off it! God knows our circumstances and will work at the right time in the right way on your behalf. I’m sure God doesn’t need your help.

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”

Psalms 37:7

Lord, today I entrust into your care the entanglements and perplexities of my life into your hands and leave them there.

  2. Anonymous, I am praying for you. Sometimes when I am going through I found it more helpful if take the focus off myself and pray for others. I was just emailing some friends about their prayer request when I stop by the site. I know what its like to be without a job and wait on God. Therefore I will be praying for you. I encourage you to begin to praise God and thank him for that awesome job he has for you.
