Requirements

What does the Lord require of you?"

Micah 6:8

The demands upon our time and tempers keep us distracted from doing what you require. Empower us, Lord God of all, to do what is required of us - to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before you.

As we seek mercy for ourselves, help us to extend mercy to each other. As we seek justice for ourselves, help us to seek justice for those who cannot help themselves. As we stand boldly before our adversaries, we strive to walk in humble obedience to your will.

In Jesus name, help us to fulfill all that is required of us this day and all the days of our lives. Amen.

A Fresh Resolve

Lord you know us better than anyone else. Search all of our motives, test and try the secret places of our souls, bring to light any darkness that may lurk within and lead us in the way of everlasting life. Take control of our bodies. Purge from us laziness, all unworthy self-indulgence so that they do not hinder but help the perfection of our spirit. Take control of our will that we may be one with you so that body and soul will no longer fight against each other but live in harmony, holiness and health.

Help us to rise this day with a fresh resolve to live the truth of your word. Enlarge our minds and open wide the doors of our hearts so that we may love as you love our neighbors as well as and our haters. In your precious name, Amen

In Good Hands Again

Lover of our souls, we surrender our circumstances and ourselves to you once again. Into your hands we place our hopes and dreams and our fears and failures. Into your hands we place the thoughts of our minds and the meanderings of our spirit. Into your hands we place our body temple grateful that you have breathed on us the breath of life. We trust to your care the substance of our concerns.

Be now, our advocate before the Father as we confess and seek forgiveness of sin. Help us to look with eyes of faith to see you working behind the scenes, even when we see things that shake the foundation of that faith. In Your name, Amen

The Table is Spread

Dear Lord,

On this Holy Thursday, we ask your forgiveness especially when we’ve acted like the disciples of old letting pride for placement and lust for power to slip into our lives. Forgive us when we’ve betrayed you or sold our faith for more or less than 30 pieces of silver.

Help us today to follow your example of humility and service. Help us to grow beyond people who demand much and give little.

Gather us at the table again. Empower us to live as people who serve, give and love. Guide us to be the kind of disciples who stay awake even in dark and troubling times. Strengthen us to be steadfast unmovable always abounding in your work because we know that our labor is never in vain.

In Jesus name, we chose the towel instead of the title.

Catch Us!

Let us pray together:

Eternal God, thank you for being the source of all beginnings and all endings. In the morning you cradle the world and in the evening you heal our wounds so we can fight another day; You are the morning dew and the evening mist; You are the early morning sun kissing the potential of a new day and you are the twilight whispering promises that are yet to come.

We sing of sorrows and laugh at mistakes; we dance in the rain and laugh at the wind; we dream of things yet to come and believe the things we hope for, the evidence of thing unseen.

When our faith falters and our hopes crash upon the craggy rocks of ambition, renew our strength; let us be caught into your loving arms when we faint and lifted up as we struggle to rise above circumstances that seek our demise. You are a great and mighty God who helps us to live above our circumstances.

It is in the name of Gratitude we pray, Amen.

Deepen us!

“Some (seed) fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil.”

Matthew 13: 5

Lord, save us from a shallow existence! Deepen our soil, our hearts so that we will not be easily tempted away from your word. Help us to maintain the soil of our hearts so that we can know your will and do it. Lead us to a depth of conviction that can withstand the heat of the day.

Deepen us as deep calls to deep. Share with us your deepest truths. Trust us with your most profound secrets. Grow us with deep roots in furtile soil so that our faith will last longer than a minute, an hour, a week, a month or a year. In Jesus name, Amen.

Guiding Light

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;

I will counsel you and watch over you.”

Psalm 32:8

Lord, we come to you today asking you to show us the way to go when it is hard to see the road ahead. Help us to know when you are guiding us and when we are holding on too long to wrong assumptions and answers. Show us the best way to follow your voice, how to wait until the time you choose to answer our prayers and how to move forward with confidence when the answer arrives.

Help us to be more like You. Help us in the midst of this uncertain season to be quick to love and slow to anger. Help us to love each other better beyond what we speak to what we do. In Jesus name, help us to choose wisely our actions today whether it is deciding to work or play, shop or study, sleep or start a project, leave or go, pray or procrastinate. Amen.

Illumined Faith

Eternal Spirit, come knock on the door and give us grace to open. Come to us in stimulating thoughts, clear insights, and illumined faith, in moving gratitude that makes us humble, in penitence that cleanses us, in a sense of vocation, that challenges us. Come to us in a fresh vision of Christ, his grace and mercy, his call to our consciences, and his appeal to our strength.

Let the light shine on all of us today, making plain some answers to our questions, some assurance for our doubts, some strength for our weakness, some vision for our duty, and may we be the more valiant and triumphant spirits because we have worshipped, in the Spirit of Christ, Amen.

The Work is all Divine

Father God,

Your work is all divine. I thank you for all the work you have done on me and through me. I truly desire to pursue my purpose to your honor and your glory. I thank you dear Lord that you know my heart, you know my desires, and you know your plans for my future.

I will keep on pressing to reach the place where you want me to be. I have made mistakes. I have done and said the wrong things at times in my life. I have gotten off track. I thank you that I can hear your voice when you call me back on track. I pray that all of the women of God will answer when you call them to their purpose.

I bless your name as I walk in the authority you have bestowed on me. I ask you God for your blessings, your guidance, and your supernatural power as I pursue my purpose in life. Grant me the clarity to recognize that you are preparing me to step into the fullness of my purpose. I pray that you grant me the steadfastness and the fortitude to not turn back.

Lord, please strengthen me in my weak places, heal me in my broken places, and deliver me from my sinful nature. Where there is fear Lord, I ask that you replace it with power, love, and a sound mind. Knowing the depth of your love for me, there is no way I want to cause you grief by being stubborn or disobedient.

I love you and I thank you for sending your best to me, Jesus the Christ. And so, I commit to giving my best to you. I commit myself to the building of your kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. Lord, thank you for giving me a purpose. In Jesus’ name I say thank you.

In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen.

We know, Gracious God that your eyes go to and fro throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts long for you. We often grow weary, but our hope is in you to renew our strength, courage and vision. We do not fear, for you are with us. We are not dismayed or overwhelmed, for you are our God. We know you will strengthen us and help us; that you will uphold us with your righteous hand. We abide in your comfort. In the matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Loving You is Not Wrong!

O lord, our God, how excellent is your name in all the earth. Forgive us for coming too often with our petitions for our right now and tomorrow needs without proclaiming your great and mighty acts or thanking you for the joy of our salvation.

We rejoice this morning for your unfathomable amazing grace, unequaled peace and endless love. We love you and thank for loving us first/ Help us to make known today all the marvelous things you have done in us and in the lives of those we know and love.

We pray for the victims of earthquakes and tsunamis; gang violence and acts of hate; victims of AIDS and other diseases; and those who live in the gap between what is promised and what is delivered. Burn Away Our Cares

O Lord, our God we rejoice today because you have blessed us with another day of living. Potential is on the horizon, where once again possibility outshines the glare of the impossible.

Help us to be still for a moment to hear your instructions for the road ahead, Quiet our worries, calm our fears, lift our burden as you lift the mists from the mountains; burn away our cares just like the sun burns away the morning fog.

Bless us today to be a blessing. Help us to smile without looking for a smile in return to be kind without attaching strings.

In your Name, Amen.

Hot And Fresh!

Let us prayer together:

Gracious Lord and lover of my soul,

Let hope so infuse my life that all I am, all I think, and all I do is a testimony to your power in my life. Help us to stop long enough to smell the flowers and then give flowers to the unsung heroes who don't have a reality television show, a book deal or a street named after them.

Let us face the challenges of the day discerning your guiding hand; Let us face the world's problems or those just in our neighborhood with a fresh vision, passion, energy and the perspective of the one who knows that you are the hope of the world. For in this hope we are saved.

In Jesus name, Amen

OPEN DOORS

Let us pray together:

Lord, I am waiting on the Season of The Open Door. As I wait
I cast all of my cares on you
For I know you care for me
My Ears are open
My Heart is receptive
As I wait…
Straining to hear your “YES”
Knowing that it is coming
For I know—and believe--that
You have a good plan for me
Not to harm me
But to give me a future
And a hope.
So here I am Lord
Searching
Knocking
Asking
Savoring
the great expectation
of Your good gift
for me.
I live in trust
Walk by faith
It is…
ENOUGH.
