Praises Go Up

DAY NINETEEN

The Lord delights in the praises that come from the heart and through the lips of the worshipper. Yet, complaints tend to be on our lips in seasons of uncertainty instead of praise. Praise God everyday, at least 31 seconds or more. It is just one of the Praycation Practices. (Go back to DAY ONE for more)

In the morning, do your first-thing-in-the-morning breathing prayer before talking to anyone or checking your social network system. Exhale, Lord I need you. Inhale, Lord I receive you.

Open your life to God through Praise. God takes up residence in the midst of praise. Praise God with a sincere heart and genuine thanksgiving. Bless God back with the fruit of your lips. Praise God for just being God. Praise God for the blessings sent and blessings yet to be received. Praise God boldly in advance of the answers to your prayers. Let everything that lives and breathes, praise the Lord!

“Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises."

Psalm 22:3

Lord, with an uplifted heart and outstretched hands, I will praise you continually with my mouth today.

  1. This made me think of the concept of tithing. We should give a tenth of the first of our increase back to God; therefore, why shouldn't we give the first of each day to Him. But that doesn't mean giving him the first 2.4 hours of the day. We should praise the Lord at all times.
