Right Motives

"You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives..."

James 4:2-3

Lord, help me to ask for the right things in the right way with right motives. Help me to cooperate with you, my savior, to accomplish your will for my life.

Forgive me when I have been too impatient to wait for your answer. Forgive me that I've mistakenly taken matters into my own hands moving ahead of your guidance. A non-answer just may be an answer after all.
