Prayer Quote

"The battle of prayer is against two things in the earthlies: wandering thoughts, and lack of intimacy with God's character as revealed in His word. Neither can be cured at once, but they can be cured by discipline."

Oswald Chambers

Dear God,

Let us pray together:

Dear God,
It's a special season of prayer again. Because I have tried and failed to keep my commitment to the practice of spiritual disciplines, I am seeking your guidance. This is a time when I want to be more spiritually in tune with you and your Son, Jesus Christ. I ask that you remove the veil from my eyes so I might see him more clearly. Implant in me a holy resolve to be like him. Teach me to take up my cross each day and follow him. When this time of Lent is ended, I want to know that I have drawn closer to Christ.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer Experience

Bishop,
I'm so blessed by this spiritual journey I've embarked on with you. I have not missed a day. Being consistent is an area I'm not always good at; however, I'm happy to say that I've made the commitment to follow this through all the way. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, and I'm packing my Bible, my computer and my journal. I'm happy to report that the discipline of this journey has helped me to have some discipline over my eating. This month, since I started the journey, I've managed to loose over 10lbs. To God be the glory. I feel great.

Thank You,

Daniela
