A New Week

Gracious God,

We praise you for a new week and a new beginning. We praise you for the grace that calls us to fresh starts, even in the midst of unpromising circumstances.

Renew in us a fresh resolve to bring down obstructions to justice, straighten out the crooked paths, and level the road roads we must travel to obtain the necessities of life. Lift us from valley places so that we may go from strength to strength and glory to glory.

You have the power to bring community our of chaos and we join you in rebuilding our lives, our communitites, our churches and our country.

It's a new week. O God, help me to begin strong so that I may end the week strong. Search me and know my heart. Test me and know my thoughts. Lead me in the way everlasting. Help me to accept your love then show your love to all around me. In Your name, Amen.
