Peace Be Still

Almighty God, as you have commanded the winds and the waves command the storms in our lives to be still. Speak peace be still to the stormy economic seas of many people in communities and countries around the world. Speak peace to those who are caught in storms of anger, hate and pain. Speak peace to those suffer because of the unresolved storms of prejudice and fear. Speak peace to those who live in daily abusive storms in their homes. Speak peace to those who are being tossed to and fro because the storms of others threaten to sink their livelihood.

Speak peace to the turbulence of our times. Give us your perfect peace to ride out the storms. In Jesus name, grant us the wisdom and the diverse strategies to navigate both stormy seas and calm waters. Amen.
