New Day, New Month, New Beginning!

Lord, we greet the dawn of a brand new day and a brand new month with joy and anticipation!

Source of all life, we come today to once again proclaim that we adore you! We adore you for who you are, what you do, not only for us but for all your children. We invoke your presence with joy because we know that before we called upon your name, you turned toward us.

Thank you your everlasting love that takes the sting out of fear. Thank you for your grace that arrives daily like a rescue squad for those trapped in the rubble of an avalanche.

As we take a 360 degree survey of where we are, we thank you for every spiritual blessing. Thank you for being generous with your favor. Thank you for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you for healing. Thank you for deliverance. Thank you, that before we asked, the answers were on the way.

Protect us from dangers seen and unseen. Protect our children, families and the extended family of God. Guide our steps today and we promise to walk the way you have already prepare. In Jesus' name, Amen.

When and When Again

Let us pray this prayer together:

When my flesh fails wrap me in a love that does not flinch.
When my heart falters, wrap me in a love that creates clean hearts and renews steadfast spirits within.
When my attention span causes my mind to wandering, gently knock upon the door of my heart again.
When I am surrounded by noise and violence, lead me to a quiet place.
When the silence is intimidating, transform the threats with your tranquility.
When doing becomes more important than being, help me to be still and know the power of your presence.
When I am tempted to go another way, whisper in my ears your marching orders.
When I am are thirsty, let me drink from your cup of grace.
When I am hungry after righteousness, feed me until I want no more.
When I am are empty, step into the void and darkness and say, “Let there be light”.
When I am blinded by the idols of this world, give me the courage to see that yours is still the kingdom and glory, forever.
When the time to be silent is over, speak through me words of life to a dying world.
When and When Again,

Renew Our Faith

Let us pray together:

O God, the holy source of energy, enthusiasm and excitement, renew our faith in your eternal compassion and commitment to humanity. Life’s travails have beleaguered us beyond measure. We are over burdened by our work experiences. We are overwhelmed by our family responsibilities. We are overloaded by our religious commitments. We are most grateful that the power to overcome our dilemmas rests in you, God alone. We praise the wisdom of recreation and relaxation, moments of renewing divine purpose and intent in our lives. Help us to envision your divine mission for each of us and all of us. Allow us to divert daily to devote ourselves to your presence, to withdraw weekly to worship your providence, and to abandon annually to adore your purpose. Amen.

Soul Tending

Let us pray,

Lord, we come into your presence with an open heart, an open mind and open hands. Listening, our ears are like an open box, available to receive divine instructions and every good and perfect gift.

Thank you for the invitation to taste your infinite goodness, glimpse new mercies on the horizon of a new day and feast on a grace that is not earned or deserved.

Forgive us for attending to everyone and every need with little time to tend to our souls. Forgive us when we ignore the spiritual landscape of the interior life.

Help us to be still in these precious moments and know. Help us to return to our quiet core to hear your voice, the voice that transforms the mind and heart so that we may enter again stronger, better and wiser to do what pleases you rather than what pleases us.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Peak to Peak

“But the path of righteous people is like the light of dawn that becomes brighter and brighter until it reaches midday.”

Proverbs 4: 18

Righteous God, govern and guide us through this day that we may be a light in a darkened world. Help us to grow in faith from the tiniest display on the horizon to a bold proclamation of your grace and glory.

Grant us a greater measure of your Holy Spirit so that as our light shines others will see you working in, through and around us. Help us to shine so that others will see your good works and glorify You day by day.

As the sun peaks in its daily journey, it still has a long way to go before sunset. As we are on this Christian journey go with us from peak to peak until our light comes to a glorious crescendo in celebration of eternal life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Strengthen, Save and Stand

“The day and night are yours. You set the moon and the sun in their places.”

Psalm 74: 16

Creator God, we stand today in awesome wonder of your mighty works. You have set in motion the universe and still have time to create a day and a night just for us. You have so ordered the planets in their places and the seasons in their sequences.

Forgive us where we have failed. Strengthen us in our weak places and strengthen us again in the places where we have served you well. Save us from despair because of our spiritual shortcomings. Save us from over confidence because of our spiritual successes. Help us to run from complacency and run towards you daily our Christ, Amen.

Let There Be Light

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light to my path.”

Psalm 116: 105

Open our eyes today to the wonders of your creation. The daily cares and crises of living and breathing have clouded our vision.

Breathe on us, O breath of God, fill us with new life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let the scales fall from our eyes so that we do not stumble in confusion but walk in confidence with your Word as a lamp unto our feet and a light upon our walkways. In the name of the Light of the world, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
