On Guard!

“He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.”

Psalm 121: 8

Great God of Creation, call us today to a greater devotion to love and serve you.

Help us to turn away from impulses that dishonor your glory.

Help us to resist the temptations that distract us from our spiritual disciplines.

Help us to deny the fear that if we give what we have we will have less.

Help us to discern that by giving we shall receive more.

Help us to discover a richer faith that holds up under pressure, high gasoline prices, unemployment, and deployment, mortgage and nuclear reactor meltdowns, polluted water and soil, infants, adolescents and aging parents.

Let each step taken today lead us to know that we are preserved by You, accompanied by You, ruled by You, and guarded by You, now and forever more, in Jesus name, Amen.

Protect and Serve

"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want"

Psalm 23: 1

Shepherd of our souls, thank you for providing for us in ways beyond our knowledge and our deserving. You've protected us from dangers seen and unseen and we trust your love and care completely.

If our faith is challenged today, help us to keep our eyes open to the truth of your Word even if we are temporarily blinded by doubt and fear. If we are tempted guide us so we are not enmeshed in the tentacles of sin. If we stray, like a shepherd, lead us back into the fold of your love. Amen

Adoration and Praise

Gracious God, source of all life, we come today to once again proclaim that we adore you! We adore you for who you are, what you do, not only for us but for all your children. We invoke your presence with joy because we know that before we called upon your name, you turned toward us.

Thank you for not holding back your blessings. Thank you for not being stingy with your favor. Thank you for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you for healing. Thank you for deliverance. Thank you, that before we asked, the answers were on the way.

Protect us from dangers seen and unseen. Protect our children, families and the extended family of God. Guide our steps today and we promise to walk the way you have already prepare. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Angels Watchin'

Dear God,

We lift our voices in a prayer of protection as we leave our comfort zones to work and witness in a world that is often hostile to our faith. Watch over us today and forever more.

Give your angels charge to protect, defend and preserve us in all our ways of seeking, sharing and service. Praise God for the angels who encamp all around us. Open our eyes that we may see angels watchin' over me, my Lord! In Jesus name, Amen

BECAUSE OF YOU

Let us Pray together:

Father God, in the name of Jesus, it is because of you that I take another breath of fresh air. God it is because of you that I yet have another opportunity to see the light of a brand new day and for that I say thank you.

God as I start this day I pray that you order my steps in your Word that I might be pleasing in your sight. Lord I realize that I can’t make it, not another step, without your grace and mercy. God I need you right now.

God I have to magnify your wonderful name because you are worthy to be praised! You are great and mighty and I just love you today and forever. God, I’m asking you for your hand of protection around your people and that you guide us to lead others to Christ. Help us to be the examples of holiness to those that have lost their way.

God, I want to thank you just for being God and for me you are enough. Everything that I ever need, I find in you. Thank you that you will never take your love from me and please help me to love others, as you have loved me.

I give your name the praise, honor, and the glory in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Amen.

PHENOMENAL GOD

Let us pray together:

Gracious God, who has brought us to the beginning of this day, thank you for your power and grace that defends us by your might. Lord, help us to appreciate and understand what your design is, for us, on this day. You are a loving and gracious Father, please have mercy on us as we explore all of the possibilities that you have given us to love, share, and care in this wonderful world that you have made.

Lord, on this day please forgive us for our sins of omission and commission. Please have mercy upon us! Please protect us from the Enemy who is constantly shooting fiery darts at us! Lord, you are our deliverance!

How we love having a continuous talk with you throughout the day! Thank you that you are always listening to us and that no weapon that is formed against us will prosper. Please keep us strong, increase our faith and give us power from on high.

God, you are phenomenal and your mercies are new every morning! You are The Creator who does all things well. Thank you for attending to every detail of our lives. Everything that you do, you do for our good! Please help us to be patient, rejoicing in our suffering, allowing your plans to become our plans, as you perfect us day by day! Thank you for the joy that only comes from serving You.

Your power reaches up to the Heavens and beyond!
