Hunger and Thirst

“He satisfies those who are thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:9 (TEV)

Our God and our Lord, today, may the water and bread of life that come from you satisfy our deepest thirsts and hungers. Mat we not be content with cheap and quick fixes for the desir3es of our hearts. Help us o find in you what we truly need. For your sake and in your name, Amen.

Minds Fixed

O Lord our God, how excellent is your name in all the earth. Grant us this day the reality of your presence. We earnestly seek you. We desire you. We fix our minds on you. We commit ourselves to you again - and again. In all our ways we want to acknowledge you so that you will direct our paths.

You have given us so much, not because you love us more than others, but because you trust us with your treasure in these earthen vessels of ours. Help us to do to live wisely, love sincerely, serve wholeheartedly, act justly and show mercy today and forevermore.
