Too Busy to Pray

DAY TWENTY

Truth? Most of us struggle with prayer. We forget to pray or there is never seems to be enough time for prayer. We pray and fall asleep. We pray and our thoughts begin to scatter over a wide range of subjects. We do quick panic prayers instead of patiently kneeling at the feet of our savior.

One of the amazing thing about prayer is that it doesn’t require a degree from an institution of higher learning, a uniform or a budget. It can be done at any time, anywhere by anyone.

The enemy of our souls doesn’t mind that we go to church, teach Sunday school, preach and do outreach ministry. This enemy gets real nervous when we pray because the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual that can destroy the enemies’ stronghold.

~

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.”

Colossians 4:2

Ever Listening Lord, thank you for the privilege to speak freely with you at any time and place with our praise, confessions, thanksgiving and petitions.

Praise God!

I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you everyday;

Psalm 145: 1-3

Today we praise you our God, Redeemer and King! We praise you for who you are and what you mean to all creation. Thank you for being our protector and provider. Thank you for the community of believers who help us to mature and grow into people of your word.

We pray to exalt you in our living today. May our thoughts, words and deeds praise you for you are more than worthy of praise! Amen and Amen!

Praise God for a New Year!

"I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise my God with my last breath!
Psalm 104: 31-35

As long as I live, Lord, I will praise you with my whole heart. You have blessed beyond measure, more than we deserve. You have sheltered us in your arms and kept us in safety. Your love has shattered our fears. Your grace came daily unearned to lift us over the rough spots we encountered or we created. May your love and compassion touch every heart today, in Jesus name, Amen.

Perpetual Psalm of Praise

"Every day I will bless you, and praise your name forever and ever."
Psalm 145:2

Lord, we bless you and praise your name forever! We cannot stop thanking you for the gift of life in good times or times of challenge. Out of our mouths flows the sacrifice of praise as we bless your holy name forever.

We lay our burdens at your feet along with all doubts, fears, worries, uncertainties, and failures. We release to you our stresses and strains so we can rest in your powerful presence. We give ourselves to you again. Forgive us Lord so we can grow beyond the sins that so easily beset us.

Strengthen and sustain us to be a perpetual psalm of praise to your wondrous works through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Prayer Experience

Father,

I need you this morning. I need you to be the breath I take, I need you to be in every decision I make. I need you to direct every move I make. I need you to be in every word I speak. Without you, I continue to realize I really would not be able to function. I so grateful that in times like these, questionable times, emotional times, rough times, in times like these, I'm so grateful that you are there for me to lean on. I don't know where I would be without you.

I thank you that I'm not on the outside looking in on your grace. I thank you that I'm not at the bottom of your priority list. I thank you that I'm not at the back door trying to get in on your love. Thank you for making me a priority today. Thank you that even though you are busy intervening universally, you are not to busy to allow me to spend time with you.

I invite you to be LORD over everything in my life today.

Love, your child

Prayer Experience

Praise the Lord!

Before praycation, I do try to have my devotion time early in the morning. This is like icing on cake, I do have a separate notebook for the beautiful and uplifting prayers and Bible Verses that are mentioned. I used to be very active in my church but I was more doing than being what God wanted in my life. Now Being is more important than Doing for me. My relationship with Christ is what I am longing for right now in my life. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this great praycation.

Luv in Christ,
Chantal
