Morning and Evening

Thank you Lord for being all beginnings and all endings. In the morning you cradle the world and in the evening you heal our wounds so we can fight another day; You are the morning dew and the evening mist; You are the early morning sun kissing the potential of a new day and you are the twilight whispering promises yet to come.

We sing of sorrows and laugh at mistakes; we dance in the rain and laugh at the wind; we dream of things yet to come and believe the things we hope for, the evidence of thing unseen.

When our faith falters and our hopes crash upon the craggy rocks of ambition, renew our strength; let us be caught into your loving arms when we faint and lifted up as we struggle to rise above circumstances that seek our demise. You are a great and mighty God who helps us to live above our circumstances.

Cups Overflow

Merciful and Everlasting God, deep beyond our understanding and high above our imagining we worship you today with uplifted hands and voices. What a joy it is to sing your praises of how you kept us at keeping time and blessed us better than we deserved.

Help us today to rejoice in difficult times the same way we do when everything is going right. You are in control of all things and can turn the trials of today into the testimonies of tomorrow. We humble ourselves before you and trust that you will lift us up above our enemies; anoint our heads with oil and in Jesus name, let our cups overflow. Amen

Believe and Receive

Lord, help us not to trip over our doubts and fears today. Help us to resist the standing still tendencies that so easily beset us when we hear your voice to press on. We know through your Word that you have plans for us, plans not to harm but to prosper us. In Your name, we ask you to help us today to reach out in faith, act boldly, to walk in divine favor believing and receiving your promises. Amen.

Right Words

Lord, use me to do right things today. Guide my feet that I may go in right directions today. Speak through me. Set a watch over my mouth so that my tongue may not sin against you. As the Psalmist declares, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight I lord, my rock and my redeemer. Amen

Aim High

Grant us, O Lord, the courage to put our sin behind us as your have put it behind you. Guide us by your spirit to the places where we can serve you best. Fill us with your love so that the ways and words of our haters cannot cause confusion and chaos today.

Help us to rise above aimlessness. Help us to shake the dust of despair from our feet. Help us to shed the robes of selfishness and help us to robe ourselves in selflessness.

Send your Holy Spirit into the very sinew of our flesh, into the substance of our souls permeating our very bones. Let compassion burn like fire shut up in our bones. Let the flame of zeal ignite the fire of commitment. Turn our weaknesses into strengths and our failures into success! In your name, Amen.

Evening Song

O God, who in Jesus sent your life to earth and revealed your power over sin, death and hell. We rejoice. He is risen!

We come late in the day applauding your divine love graciously extended towards us. Forgive us, when we failed to do what you wanted us to do. Forgive us for favoring our wants and needs over the things of God.

Now Lord, grant us the space to reflect upon your glory. Give us the space to hear your voice clearly above wants and needs. Illumine our mines that we may discern your will. Illumine our paths that we may carry out the dreams you have planted deep in our hearts.

When the sun rises, let us rise to work on those dreams. In Jesus Name, Amen.
