Listening Prayer
Exhale and inhale until you are relaxed. Now pray:
“My Lord and My God, listening is hard for me. I do not exactly mean hard, for I understand that this is a matter of receiving rather than trying. What I mean is that I am so action oriented, so product driven, that doing is easier than being. I need your help if I am to be still and listen. I would like to try. I would like to learn how to sink down into the light of your presence until I can become comfortable in that posture. Help me to try now.
Thank you. – Amen”

Prayer Experience
The journey begins anew each morning! Take a moment to be still and thank God the newness. God's already brought you through yesterday's storm, rejoice and be glad in that alone and then share your testimony with someone else. I am!
Lord, I praise you for bringing me through yesterday's storm, and for preparing me for today's weather - good or bad, sunny or stormy - I know you are present in my life. So with eyes wide open and hands lifted upward, I sing songs of thanksgiving for just another day of living. Amen

Be Still
Be still and know that I am GOD... psalm 46:10
I am busy
I am blustered
I am bewildered
I am bothered
I am broken
and it is still morning.
I will wait
I will stop
I will slow down
I will be still
I will rest
I will relax
I will recoup
I will regain
I will recover
Thank you Lord for allowing me to experience trials. For knowing who you are allows me to be still. Thank you Lord, for refreshing me as I stop long enough to hear from you. Thank you Lord, for rebuilding me, as I have been down. Thank you Lord, for restoring me, as I acknowledge my broken areas. Thank you Lord, for reviving me, as my spirit longs to hear your voice.
I am still
I can hear
I can feel
I can see
I can smell
I can taste
I am still
And I know you are GOD.
