Be Open!

Lord, open our eyes that we may see you working behind the scenes of our lives. Open our hands that we may share generously the gifts you have provided. Open our mouths to speak on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. Open our minds to receive new ideas, concepts and innovations. Open our hearts to love our neighbor and ourselves better today than yesterday. Help us to be more open to your Word so that we will be better hearers and doers of your Word.

In your name, Amen

Dream On!

God of promise and possibilities, help us to drag our dreams out of the closet today and hold them in the palms of love and sacrifice. Open our eyes to our gifts buried or suspended by daily challenges or responsibilities. Show us the appropriate risks to take. Guide us with your Word and wisdom.

O God, you who gave us Jesus, help us in those moments when our unbelief overshadows our potential and your promise - there is nothing impossible with you!

In Jesus name, grant us the vision to be faithful witnesses of your enabling power.

Uplifted Voices

Let's sing a song filled with the melodies of faith not fear and hope not harassment.

Today, we lift our voices for the young. Lord, help them as they aspire to make this a better world. We lift our voices for our sons and daughters. We pray that their zeal and idealism will be nurtured towards responsible action. We pray for the mature. Our prayer is that they fulfill their purpose in the uniqueness of their personalities and responsibilities. We pray for those who need sustenance and provision. We pray for those who cannot grow beyond sorrow and for the sick in body, mind or spirit that they may prosper and be in good health according to your word.

Yes, let us continue to sing new songs, filled with praise and thanksgiving!
In the name of Jesus, Amen

Adoration and Praise!

Gracious God, source of all life, we come today to once again proclaim that we adore you! We adore you for who you are, what you do, not only for us but for all your children. We invoke your presence with joy because we know that before we called upon your name, you turned toward us.

Thank you for not holding back your blessings. Thank you for not being stingy with your favor. Thank you for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you for healing. Thank you for deliverance. Thank you, that before we asked, the answers were on the way.

Protect us from dangers seen and unseen. Protect our children, families and the extended family of God. Guide our steps today and we promise to walk the way you have already prepare. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Grateful, Grateful!

Eternal God, what a day to share our thanks and praise of you with others. We are glad to tell of your greatness. We are glad to declare to all, today and everyday of your mighty acts and glorious splendor.

We bless your name for it is by your mercy, our sins are forgiven. It is by your grace, we are saved. It is by your love we are accepted. It is by your peace that surpasses all understanding, we remain calm in the midst of chaos. It is by your power, that the impossible happens everyday. Thank you Lord, there is nothing impossible for you...not just today but everyday!

Empower Our Reach

Fountain of life, we thank you for the gift of another day. Forgive us of our sins of omission –the things we didn’t do and should have done. Forgive us for the sins of commission- the sins that so easily beset us.

Help us today to offer thanks to you, not in pious gestures or empty words but by living faithful to your call. Enable us to bear the fruit of thankfulness by serving others. Empower us to reach beyond our comfort zones to build community with those around us. Help us to willingly accept the love and friendship of others. Help us to trust that you have our best interests at heart...even when tough tests come from you, our Tender Teacher.

We know that you are with us and for us everyday. In Jesus name, we offer this prayer, Amen

Rock Solid

Transforming Rock of our salvation, we confess that all other ground is sinking sand. You are our Rock, the foundation of our hope and the cornerstone of our faith.

If we should try to stand on other ground, we can do nothing; standing on your promises, we can do everything; standing on you we handle anything; standing on you nothing is impossible and standing on you, everything is possible.

Strengthen us, so that we are filled with the endurance of the mountains who stand against the onslaught on wind and rain. Strengthen us, so that we are filled with the spirit of the rivers who continue to flow against the forces that try to impede or dam them up. Fill us again with the joy of your abundant harvest, so that we may share your joy everywhere with everyone!

It's What You Pray, Not What You Say

O, I said to the Lord this morning,
O God, yet another phone call about tragedy, loss, poor prognosis, emergency surgery, tumors, pain and suffering. What can I say?

There is yet another sound bite of misfortune and misspent opportunities. What can I say? So many are struggling with public success and private failure or public success and public failure. What can I say? Too many issues tug at the heart with no easy solutions. What can I say?

There are yet too many crises in too many places with too many people we care about and a multitude of people we do not know. What can I say?

God said to me, Daughter, it’s not what you say it is what you pray.

So, I prayed, God of grace and glory, hear the cries of your people. Where healing is needed, dispense it now, in Jesus name, where help is needed, give it now in the name of Jesus. Where shelter is needed, provide now in the name of Jesus, and where there is a need for sustenance, supply it now, in the name of Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, let your healing waters flow, let your love abide and your mercy endure forever. Amen.

O Taste and See!

O taste and see that the Lord is good!
God of promises made and promises kept, come again into our hearts. Come in a way we need the most and help us rejoice again for divinity clothed in human flesh.

Open our hearts so that we will continue to rescue the lost, strengthen the weak and support your call to this ministry of reconciliation.

Awaken old discarded dreams, restart the vision and reset the goals for the coming new year.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Which Way To go?

My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope that I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and will never leave me to face my perils alone.

Prepare Me

Prepare me Lord to begin a new day. Lead me to do those things that help my heart and mind to be receptive to a fresh start.
Today, I will begin by discarding thoughts, attitudes, and habits that are not compatible with an abundant, beautiful and excellent life. I turn away from negative people, places and things and turn towards that which is positive and uplifting.
I let go of whatever caused past discouragement, disappointment, or disagreement. I reach for those things that encourage, support and nourish my body, mind and spirit. So, I stand boldly on your Word.. behold you shall do a new thing in me.
I am open and receptive to new ideas, activities and relationships. In Jesus name, Amen

Precious Lord

Life is precious. Restrain me from cursing the one who strives to take my place. Help me to extend an invitation to them so that my rivals can be a resource as iron still sharpens iron!

Gracious Lord, help me to live one day at a time with a fresh plan of fulfillment. Empower me to act on your divine ideas that I receive in moments of prayer and inspiration. Send these through wholesome, positive thoughts, so they won't get lost in the the uncertainty of the times. Help me to use creative thinking to build upon divine ideas as my activities become more dynamic and my abilities are enhanced. Therefore, I enter this new year with optimism, joy and enthusiasm. In Jesus name, Amen.

No One Like You!

There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus.
There is no one who can help us like you can help us.
There is no other who strengthens us like you do.
There is no one who lifts us above our circumstances and sets us in a place where our enemies can’t reach us.
There is not another who can calms our fears, ignite our joy, or engulf us with such an abiding love – like you Lord.
Thank you for being just that kind of friend.
Ok
Friend, there are challenges up ahead. Since nothing is impossible with you, my Friend, what impossible things are we going to handle today?!

Believe and Receive

It is with a sense of anticipation that we greet this day. We've prayed and fasted. Listened and looked. We've ponded heaven with our peas and requests. We have waited up you and found that indeed, our strength was renewed.

Now Lord, help us to receive the answers we have been awaiting with joy and gladness. Help us to move forward with Your promises fulfilled.

Help us to tell the testimony of how
You did the impossible, fixed what was broken, solved what was problematic, straightened what was disfigured, and restored what had been taken away. In Jesus name, Amen.

God's Got Your Back!

Dear God,

The news is not good. Everywhere we turn there is something else to cause anxiety or something to be afraid of. O Lord, we put our trust in you. In spite of today's news reports and the constant threat of danger, we seek you knowing we will find our strength and security in you. We can move forward today and rest peacefully tonight with the wonderful assurance that you' ve got our backs! Amen and Amen.

PRAYER QUOTE

"In prayer, we are aware that God is in action and that when the circumstances are ready, when others are in the right place, and when our hearts are prepared, he will call us into the action.
Waiting in prayer is a disciplined refusal to act before God acts."

A Fresh Morning Mood

God of this brand new day, we welcome you with our many morning moods. Some of us barely made it though the night while others couldn’t wait for a fresh start and a new beginning. Some of us dread the crises we must face today while others view the challenges as opportunities to be conduits of your power.

Whatever the circumstance, refresh us with your spirit. Help us not to repeat the mistakes of the past and keep us from new evils that seek to disrupt, disturb and destroy. Provide the resources for our rescue and redemption today and always…in Christ’s name. Amen.
